Die Schiffe ankern vor der Küste, und die Passagiere werden per Tenderboot nach Tourlos gebracht, von wo ein Shuttle oder Wassertaxi in wenigen Minuten Mykonos-Stadt erreicht. Die Stadt ist ein Labyrinth aus engen Gassen und kleinen Plätzen, in dem man sich leicht verläuft. Bougainvilleen quellen über die Mauern, Bouzouki-Musik dringt aus den Tavernen, und Boutiquen verkaufen handgefertigte Sandalen und Schmuck. Die Kirche Panagia Paraportiani, eine Gruppe weiß getünchter Kapellen aus dem 15. Jahrhundert, ist der meistfotografierte Ort der Insel. In Klein-Venedig stehen Tische direkt über dem Wasser, ein guter Platz für gegrillten Oktopus oder Kopanisti, einen würzigen lokalen Käse. Ein Boot nach Delos, der zum UNESCO-Welterbe zählenden Insel, auf der Apollon geboren worden sein soll, braucht etwa 30 Minuten. Busse fahren zu Stränden wie Platis Gialos und Paradise Beach.
