Kiesstrände säumen die Küste südlich des Hafens. Das Terminal Amerigo Vespucci wickelt die Abfertigung effizient ab. Züge nach Roma Termini fahren vom Bahnhof ab, der nur einen kurzen Fußweg von den Hafentoren entfernt liegt, etwa im Stundentakt. Wenn Sie vor Ort bleiben, ist das Forte Michelangelo einen Blick wert, und an der Uferpromenade gibt es einige gute Trattorien, in denen Sie gegrillten Oktopus und Pasta alle vongole essen können, ohne den römischen Touristenaufschlag zu zahlen.
