The city’s colourful colonial buildings cascade down to the harbour, where ships dock against a backdrop of rugged volcanic hills. The air hums with the rhythms of funanΓ‘ music, and the scent of grilled fish drifts from seaside eateries. First impressions are of a city alive with culture, where bustling markets and sun-bleached plazas invite exploration. The nearby Tarrafal Beach, with its golden sands and turquoise waters, is a short drive away, perfect for a quick escape from the urban buzz. ## Quick Facts - **Currency:** CVE (CVE) - **Language:** Portuguese - **Timezone:** Atlantic/Cape_Verde ## Location Coordinates: 14.9167, -23.5047 - [Open in Google Maps](https://www.google.com/maps/search/cruise+terminal+Praia/@14.9167,-23.50468,13z) - [Open in Apple Maps](https://maps.apple.com/?q=cruise%20terminal%20Praia&ll=14.9167,-23.50468&z=13) ## Things to Do in Praia Top-rated shore excursions that fit a typical ~10h port call.
