Try *almogrote*, a tangy cheese spread made with local Gomera cheese, garlic, and peppers, best enjoyed with freshly baked bread. For something sweeter, *bienmesabe*, a rich almond dessert, is a must. The town’s compact centre makes it easy to explore on foot, with narrow streets lined with artisan shops selling handmade pottery, woven baskets, and the island’s famous *miel de palma* (palm honey). If time allows, take a short taxi ride to the nearby beach of Playa de Santiago for a quick dip in the Atlantic or a seaside café con leche before heading back to the ship. ## Quick Facts - **Currency:** EUR (Euro) - **Language:** Spanish - **Timezone:** Atlantic/Canary - **Tipping:** Rounding up or small change; not expected ## Location Coordinates: 28.0836, -17.1136 - [Open in Google Maps](https://www.google.com/maps/search/cruise+terminal+San%20Sebastian%20de%20la%20Gomera/@28.08357,-17.11363,13z) - [Open in Apple Maps](https://maps.apple.com/?q=cruise%20terminal%20San%20Sebastian%20de%20la%20Gomera&ll=28.08357,-17.11363&z=13) ## Things to Do in San Sebastian de la Gomera Top-rated shore excursions that fit a typical ~10h port call.
