It splits nicely: 2 days seeing places and 1 days doing nothing at all. Manhattan skyline to maritime Canada. City energy at one end, quiet fishing towns at the other. You get around 9 hours in each port, which is enough for an excursion, lunch, and some wandering around on your own.
