Ocean Discovery – Cozumel, Progreso (Mérida) & Galveston
About this cruise
Sometimes you just need a few days out of your routine. This one sails from Galveston on August 23, 2027, spends 5 nights visiting Cozumel and Progreso (Mérida), and gets you back before anyone really notices you were gone. The sea days at each end give the whole trip a natural arc: build-up, exploration, cool-down. Port to port, the water changes colour and the music changes too. That's the fun of it. If one port sticks with you, it'll probably be Cozumel, Mexico's Caribbean island of Mayan mystery. Roughly 8 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. There are 14 restaurants on Carnival Horizon, so you'd need to double up a few evenings to try them all in 5 nights. Galveston itself is worth spending some time in. Don't just treat it as a departure point. And August means long, warm days. Good for the ports, good for the pool. It's the kind of trip you actually remember afterwards.
