Ocean Discovery – Piraeus (Athens), Istanbul & Izmir
About this cruise
11 nights starts to feel like a proper adventure. You leave Piraeus (Athens) on October 29, 2027 and the route takes you through Istanbul, Izmir and Volos, with additional stops along the Eastern Mediterranean at a pace where there's never any need to rush. Last stop: Palermo. A few ports come in quick succession, which is great for sightseeing but means you'll appreciate the sea days when they arrive. It's a proper Eastern Mediterranean tour: 4 countries, from Türkiye to Italy. Of the stops, Palermo tends to be the one people talk about: Arab-Norman splendour in Sicily's capital. Around 10 hours per port on average, which is generous enough to go beyond the obvious. At 114,500 gross tons, Costa Pacifica is big enough that you can find a quiet corner or a crowd, depending on your mood. The longer time on board means you'll catch several shows, themed nights, and start feeling like a regular at your favourite bar. The autumn timing is underrated too. Good weather, calmer seas, and a more relaxed ship. Sometimes the best trips are the ones you just go ahead and book.
