That gives you 2 days in port and 1 at sea, enough of each to find a rhythm. Lighthouses, clam chowder, and cold Atlantic air. The East Coast at its most itself. Most ports give you about 9 hours, so you can do more than just tick off the main sights. As for the ship itself, The ship is Virgin Voyages's Scarlet Lady. Good for anyone who can't take two weeks off but still wants the cruise experience. The timing adds to it: swapping cold weather for sunshine and sea air is the whole pitch for a winter cruise.
