Blue Calving – Juneau & Ketchikan
About this cruise
7 nights is that sweet spot where you actually start to relax. This sailing from Whittier on July 18, 2026 visits Hubbard Glacier, Glacier Bay, Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan and Vancouver and doesn't try to cram in too much. You wind up in Vancouver, so it's worth planning a night or two there. A few ports come in quick succession, which is great for sightseeing but means you'll appreciate the sea days when they arrive. Even the open-water days are scenic here, with mountains on either side and blue ice in the distance. Glacier Bay stands out. It's Where ice sculpts the silence. Around 9 hours per port on average, which is generous enough to go beyond the obvious. Grand Princess takes the food seriously, with 10 restaurants to choose from. 6 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. This length suits most people. Enough time to settle in and actually unwind, without the trip dragging on. The timing works well too: warm evenings on deck, late sunsets, and a lively atmosphere. All in all, it's a solid trip.
