Cobalt Horizon – Naples, Crete & Ephesus
About this cruise
No complicated itinerary, no back-to-back transfers, just the ports, the ship, and the sea in between. This 7-night sailing from Civitavecchia (Rome) on August 15, 2026 visits Naples, Souda (Chania), Kusadasi, Mykonos and Piraeus (Athens). You get off in Piraeus (Athens), which is a good excuse to tack on a few days on land. There's a nice rhythm here: explore a port, recover at sea, do it again. You never feel rushed or restless. The route threads through 3 countries along the Eastern Mediterranean coast: Italy, Greece and Türkiye. Don't rush through Souda (Chania), which is known as Venetian harbour, Cretan soul. Around 12 hours per port on average, which is generous enough to go beyond the obvious. Sun Princess joined the Princess Cruises's lineup in 2024. Still has that new-ship feel. Civitavecchia (Rome) itself is worth spending some time in. Don't just treat it as a departure point. The timing works well too: warm evenings on deck, late sunsets, and a lively atmosphere. All told, 5 ports across 7 nights covers a lot.
