The final stretch is open ocean, which gives you time to process everything you've seen and use the ship one last time. The Caribbean route takes in Dominican Republic, U.S. Virgin Islands and St. Kitts & Nevis, 3 countries, and the differences show up in the food, the architecture, and the mood. You get around 8 hours in each port, which is enough for an excursion, lunch, and some wandering around on your own. When you're not ashore, Celebrity Xcel joined the Celebrity Cruises's lineup in 2025. Still has that new-ship feel. If you like having options (restaurants, bars, activities, entertainment), a big ship delivers that. Hard to ask for much more than that, honestly.
