Big cities one day, Tierra del Fuego the next. The variety is hard to match. Keep an eye out for Tarragona: Roman amphitheatre overlooking the Mediterranean. Roughly 10 hours ashore per stop. With more nights comes more time for the ship's rhythm to kick in: morning coffee in the same spot, evening shows, late-night conversations on deck. And October is a good call.
