Mediterranean to Caribbean – Genoa & La Romana
About this cruise
16 nights starts to feel like a proper adventure. You leave Genoa on October 31, 2026 and the route takes you through Marseille, Barcelona and Tangier, with additional stops along the Caribbean at a pace where there's never any need to rush. Disembarkation is in La Romana. A few ports come in quick succession, which is great for sightseeing but means you'll appreciate the sea days when they arrive. Crossing 7 borders through the Caribbean: France, Spain, Morocco, Antigua & Barbuda, Sint Maarten, St. Kitts & Nevis and Dominican Republic. You'll notice the culture shift at every stop. If one port sticks with you, it'll probably be Tangier, Where Africa and Europe lock eyes across the strait. Around 9 hours per port on average, which is generous enough to go beyond the obvious. MSC Opera takes the food seriously, with 4 restaurants to choose from. 4 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. There are enough performances, events, and social mixers on a cruise this length that you couldn't do them all if you tried. And that's a good problem. This one's for people who really want to switch off. No half measures. Block out the calendar. The autumn timing is underrated too. Good weather, calmer seas, and a more relaxed ship. It's the kind of trip you actually remember afterwards.
