Last stop: Civitavecchia (Rome). Expect a run of consecutive ports, 9 stops total, with the busiest days packed close together. The sea days around them feel earned. Crossing 5 borders through the Western Mediterranean: Croatia, Montenegro, Greece, Malta and Italy. You'll notice the culture shift at every stop. Of the stops, Messina tends to be the one people talk about: Sicily's gateway to Mount Etna and Taormina. Roughly 10 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush.
