Timeless Mediterranean – Santorini & Athens
About this cruise
A week or so at sea, a few great ports, and nothing to organise once you're on board. This 10-night sailing from Civitavecchia (Rome) on October 16, 2027 visits Santorini, Kusadasi, Mykonos, Piraeus (Athens), Katakolon and Naples. The sea days come first, which means no rushing to get off the ship on day one. You hit the ports relaxed and ready. The Eastern Mediterranean route takes in Greece, Türkiye and Italy, 3 countries, and the differences show up in the food, the architecture, and the mood. Don't rush through Kusadasi, which is known as Turkey's gateway to the ruins of Ephesus. Roughly 10 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. Carnival Miracle keeps you well fed. 7 places to eat, with 5 included in the fare and a few specialty spots if you're in the mood. The shows alone are worth the extra nights. You'll catch comedy, music, theatre, and themed evenings you'd miss on a shorter trip. Long enough that you stop checking your phone. Short enough that you're not bored. If you can, add a night in Civitavecchia (Rome) before boarding. It's a good city to wander. And October is a good call. Still warm, less crowded, and usually cheaper too. All told, 6 ports across 10 nights covers a lot.
