Alaska Glacier Trail – Hubbard & Juneau
About this cruise
Long enough to properly switch off but not so long you need to reorganise your entire life. This 7-night sailing from Vancouver on June 21, 2027 visits Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Icy Strait Point, Hubbard Glacier and Whittier. You wind up in Whittier, so it's worth planning a night or two there. Expect a run of consecutive ports, 6 stops total, with the busiest days packed close together. The sea days around them feel earned. Even the open-water days are scenic here, with mountains on either side and blue ice in the distance. Skagway stands out. It's Gold Rush spirit in a fjord-locked town. Roughly 12 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. Norwegian Jade takes the food seriously, with 13 restaurants to choose from. 5 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. Long enough that you stop checking your phone. Short enough that you're not bored. And June means long, warm days. Good for the ports, good for the pool. All in all, it's a solid trip.

Getting there: out to Vancouver, home from Whittier
