About Cruisello
Cruisello is an independent search and comparison site for cruises. Find sailings by where you want to go and when, compare the itineraries and the ships against each other, and see what the whole thing actually costs before you commit to anything.
We don't sell cruises. We're not a travel agency and we're not a booking platform. When you find something you like, we send you to the cruise line or an established booking partner to book it there.
What we do
- Find a cruise, not just a price. Search by region, departure date, duration, cabin type, ship, and port. Compare itineraries day by day, look at the ports a sailing actually calls at, and put two options side by side. Every search is a shareable link.
- Price history. Cruise fares move constantly. We keep a record for the sailings we track, so you can see whether today's number is high, low, or unremarkable instead of guessing.
- Price alerts. Set a target price and we'll email you if a fare reaches it. You can also get a digest of what changed.
The parts other sites skip
Most cruise search assumes two adults sharing a cabin, quotes a lead-in fare, and leaves the rest for you to discover at checkout. Three things we do differently:
- Solo, and parties of three or four. If you're travelling alone, the single supplement is the whole story, and it varies enormously between lines and cabins. We price sailings for one guest rather than doubling a per-person fare and hoping. Same for three and four sharing, where the third and fourth guest are often priced on a completely different basis from the first two.
- Mandatory charges, in the number. Some lines bill a compulsory service charge on board that never appears in the fare you're shown elsewhere. Where a charge is genuinely unavoidable, we fold it into the price and say so, so a cheap-looking fare isn't cheap only because something was left out. Where tips are discretionary, we leave them out and don't pretend otherwise.
- Fares across regions. The same cabin on the same sailing is often published at different prices in different markets, and the gap can be large. Where we have more than one, we show them side by side in the currency they're quoted in, and our Where to book page points you at sellers for that fare's market as well as your own. A regional fare is usually still within reach: agencies in that market will often take the booking, and a phone call gets you further than a checkout form. Terms are set by whoever you book with, so it's worth asking before you commit.
Which cruise lines?
We cover major ocean cruise lines across their published sailing calendars, and we add more over time. The quickest way to see current coverage is to browse the cruises and look at the cruise line filter.
How we're different
Most cruise sites are in the business of selling you a cabin. We aren't, so we have no reason to steer you toward one sailing over another. We show what's out there, show what it costs and what that price has done, and get out of the way.
How we're funded
Cruisello is free to use and paid for by affiliate marketing. When you follow one of our booking links and go on to book, the cruise line or booking partner may pay us a commission. That commission comes out of their margin, so it never changes what you pay, and you're not charged anything for using the site.
We keep that separate from what we show you. Search results are ranked by what you asked for, not by what pays best, and a sailing doesn't get a better position or a nicer badge because there's a commission behind it. Plenty of what we list earns us nothing at all.
Commission rates differ between partners, so we'd rather say it plainly than pretend the incentive isn't there. Our Terms of Service covers the affiliate relationship in full.
About our data
Fares, itineraries, and availability change without notice. Pricing depends on your travel dates, party size, residency, cabin availability, and whatever promotions apply at the moment you book. We do our best to keep things current and to be clear about what a price does and doesn't include, but the price and terms you see at checkout with the cruise line or booking partner are the ones that count. If you spot something wrong, please tell us and we'll fix it.
Cruise line, ship, and destination names and logos belong to their respective owners and are used here only to identify what we're describing. Cruisello is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any cruise line.
What we're building next
More coverage, deeper itinerary and ship detail, and more ways to spot a deal before it's gone. See Recent Updates for what's shipped, and the blog for guides.
