Global Odyssey – Cape Verde, Easter Island & Tahiti
About this cruise
121 nights starts to feel like a proper adventure. You leave Barcelona on January 7, 2027 and the route takes you through Gibraltar, Casablanca and Mindelo, with additional stops along the Australia & New Zealand at a pace where there's never any need to rush. Last stop: Tarragona. A few ports come in quick succession, which is great for sightseeing but means you'll appreciate the sea days when they arrive. Crossing 24 borders through the Australia & New Zealand: United Kingdom, Morocco, Cape Verde, Brazil, Argentina, Falkland Islands (Islas Malvinas), Chile, French Polynesia, Cook Islands, New Zealand, Australia, New Caledonia, Vanuatu, Samoa, United States, Mexico, Costa Rica, Panama, Jamaica, British Virgin Islands, Sint Maarten, Spain, Italy and France. You'll notice the culture shift at every stop. Of the stops, Panama Canal tends to be the one people talk about: The shortcut that changed the world. Around 10 hours per port on average, which is generous enough to go beyond the obvious. MSC Magnifica takes the food seriously, with 4 restaurants to choose from. 3 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. There are enough performances, events, and social mixers on a cruise this length that you couldn't do them all if you tried. And that's a good problem. Families and groups will find plenty to do: waterslides, shows, multiple pools, and something for every age. A January sailing is basically an excuse to chase the sun for a week or two. Sometimes the best trips are the ones you just go ahead and book.
