Mediterranean to Caribbean – Barcelona & St. Maarten
About this cruise
19 nights starts to feel like a proper adventure. You leave Marseille on November 1, 2026 and the route takes you through Barcelona, Tangier and St. John's, with additional stops along the Caribbean at a pace where there's never any need to rush. You get off in Fort-de-France, which is a good excuse to tack on a few days on land. A few ports come in quick succession, which is great for sightseeing but means you'll appreciate the sea days when they arrive. Crossing 8 borders through the Caribbean: Spain, Morocco, Antigua & Barbuda, Sint Maarten, St. Kitts & Nevis, Dominican Republic, Barbados and Martinique. You'll notice the culture shift at every stop. Don't rush through Philipsburg, which is known as Two nations, one island, infinite beaches. Around 10 hours per port on average, which is generous enough to go beyond the obvious. MSC Opera takes the food seriously, with 4 restaurants to choose from. 4 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. The longer time on board means you'll catch several shows, themed nights, and start feeling like a regular at your favourite bar. This one's for people who really want to switch off. No half measures. Block out the calendar. The autumn timing is underrated too. Good weather, calmer seas, and a more relaxed ship. All told, 9 ports across 19 nights covers a lot.
