Norwegian Fjords – Haugesund & Olden
About this cruise
You board in Southampton on August 29, 2026 for 7 nights visiting Haugesund, Olden, Ålesund and Kristiansand, and you come back from this kind of trip wondering why you don't do it more often. A few ports come in quick succession, which is great for sightseeing but means you'll appreciate the sea days when they arrive. Deep fjords, tiny fishing villages, and the kind of scenery that looks better in person than in photos. If one port sticks with you, it'll probably be Ålesund, Art Nouveau architecture on a Norwegian fjord. Roughly 8 hours per stop. More of a sampler than a deep dive. MSC Virtuosa takes the food seriously, with 7 restaurants to choose from. 1 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. Families and groups will find plenty to do: waterslides, shows, multiple pools, and something for every age. The timing works well too: warm evenings on deck, late sunsets, and a lively atmosphere. It's the kind of trip you actually remember afterwards.
