The Caribbean route takes in Dominican Republic, Barbados, Martinique, Guadeloupe, British Virgin Islands, Sint Maarten and Antigua & Barbuda, 7 countries, and the differences show up in the food, the architecture, and the mood. Of the stops, Tortola tends to be the one people talk about: BVI's mountainous sailing paradise. Roughly 10 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush.
