Ocean Discovery – Funchal, Gran Canaria & Tenerife
About this cruise
12 nights starts to feel like a proper adventure. You leave Barcelona on January 28, 2029 and the route takes you through Funchal, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Arrecife and Málaga at a pace where there's never any need to rush. You ease into this one, with a few sea days up front to find your rhythm before the 5 port calls start. Black-sand beaches on one island, dense laurel forests on another. The Canaries are surprisingly varied. Keep an eye out for Santa Cruz de Tenerife: Where Teide watches over the harbour. Around 11 hours per port on average, which is generous enough to go beyond the obvious. Celebrity Infinity takes the food seriously, with 9 restaurants to choose from. 5 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. There are enough performances, events, and social mixers on a cruise this length that you couldn't do them all if you tried. And that's a good problem. This one's for people who really want to switch off. No half measures. Block out the calendar. A January sailing is basically an excuse to chase the sun for a week or two. That's 12 nights well spent.
