Ocean Discovery – Funchal, St Cruz De La Palma & Tenerife
About this cruise
14 nights starts to feel like a proper adventure. You leave Las Palmas de Gran Canaria on February 3, 2028 and the route takes you through Funchal, Santa Cruz de la Palma and Santa Cruz de Tenerife, with additional stops along the Canary Islands at a pace where there's never any need to rush. A few ports come in quick succession, which is great for sightseeing but means you'll appreciate the sea days when they arrive. The route threads through 3 countries along the Canary Islands coast: Portugal, Spain and Morocco. If one port sticks with you, it'll probably be Funchal, An island garden floating in the Atlantic. Around 12 hours per port on average, which is generous enough to go beyond the obvious. Mein Schiff 7 launched in 2024, so everything on board is still new. You can tell. There are enough performances, events, and social mixers on a cruise this length that you couldn't do them all if you tried. And that's a good problem. Las Palmas de Gran Canaria itself is worth spending some time in. Don't just treat it as a departure point. A February sailing is basically an excuse to chase the sun for a week or two. It's the kind of trip you actually remember afterwards.
