A week or so at sea, a few great ports, and nothing to organise once you're on board. This 7-night sailing from Southampton on May 27, 2028 visits Kristiansand, Aarhus, Copenhagen and Oslo. Expect a run of consecutive ports, 4 stops total, with the busiest days packed close together. The sea days around them feel earned. Art Nouveau buildings, good design, and more capital cities in a row than you'd think possible. Oslo alone is worth the trip, Viking ships and northern cool on the fjord. Roughly 9 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. There are 9 restaurants on MSC Meraviglia, so you'd need to double up a few evenings to try them all in 7 nights. Southampton itself is worth spending some time in. Don't just treat it as a departure point. And May is a good time to go. Mild weather, things starting to bloom, and fewer people than summer.
