Ocean Discovery – Miami, Cartagena & Colon
About this cruise
If you've got 16 nights to work with, this sailing from Miami on February 21, 2028 through Cartagena, Colon, Puntarenas, Puerto Quetzal, Cabo San Lucas and Los Angeles is genuinely one of the better ways to spend them. You wind up in Los Angeles, so it's worth planning a night or two there. You ease into this one, with a few sea days up front to find your rhythm before the 6 port calls start. 6 countries (Colombia, Panama, Costa Rica, Guatemala, Mexico and United States) across the Caribbean, each with its own character. Colon stands out. It's Where the canal connects two oceans. Around 9 hours per port on average, which is generous enough to go beyond the obvious. Brilliant Lady joined the Virgin Voyages's lineup in 2025. Still has that new-ship feel. There are enough performances, events, and social mixers on a cruise this length that you couldn't do them all if you tried. And that's a good problem. All in all, it's a solid trip.

Getting there: out to Miami, home from Los Angeles
This cruise does not return to Miami. It ends in Los Angeles, so your flight home leaves from there.
