You get off in New York, which is a good excuse to tack on a few days on land. The sea days come first, which means no rushing to get off the ship on day one. You hit the ports relaxed and ready. The Caribbean route takes in Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic and United States, 4 countries, and the differences show up in the food, the architecture, and the mood.
