Ocean Discovery – Puerto Plata/Amber Cove, St Thomas & Tortola
About this cruise
No complicated itinerary, no back-to-back transfers, just the ports, the ship, and the sea in between. This 7-night sailing from Miami on August 5, 2028 visits Puerto Plata (Amber Cove), St. Thomas, Tortola and Great Stirrup Cay. A few ports come in quick succession, which is great for sightseeing but means you'll appreciate the sea days when they arrive. The route threads through 4 countries along the Caribbean coast: Dominican Republic, U.S. Virgin Islands, British Virgin Islands and Bahamas. If one port sticks with you, it'll probably be St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands' duty-free harbour paradise. With about 8 hours at each port, you'll want a plan, or at least a shortlist. Norwegian Aura joined the Norwegian Cruise Line's lineup in 2027. Still has that new-ship feel. Miami itself is worth spending some time in. Don't just treat it as a departure point. The timing works well too: warm evenings on deck, late sunsets, and a lively atmosphere. It's the kind of trip you actually remember afterwards.
