You get off in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, which is a good excuse to tack on a few days on land. Every port day is followed by a sea day, so you get time to sleep in, use the ship, and look forward to the next stop. The Western Mediterranean does coastal beauty and good eating in equal measure. Don't rush through Málaga, which is known as Picasso's birthplace on the Costa del Sol. Roughly 9 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. Costa Diadema carries up to 3,724 guests over 14 decks.
