Ocean Discovery – Savona, Marseille & Barcelona
About this cruise
24 nights starts to feel like a proper adventure. You leave Genoa on November 15, 2027 and the route takes you through Marseille, Barcelona and Gibraltar, with additional stops along the Caribbean at a pace where there's never any need to rush. You get off in Pointe-à-Pitre, which is a good excuse to tack on a few days on land. A few ports come in quick succession, which is great for sightseeing but means you'll appreciate the sea days when they arrive. The Caribbean route takes in France, Spain, United Kingdom, Sint Maarten, Martinique, Guadeloupe, St. Kitts & Nevis, British Virgin Islands and Dominican Republic, 9 countries, and the differences show up in the food, the architecture, and the mood. Don't rush through Arrecife, which is known as Lanzarote's lunar landscapes meet the Atlantic. Around 10 hours per port on average, which is generous enough to go beyond the obvious. At 114,147 gross tons, Costa Serena is big enough that you can find a quiet corner or a crowd, depending on your mood. There are enough performances, events, and social mixers on a cruise this length that you couldn't do them all if you tried. And that's a good problem. Families and groups will find plenty to do: waterslides, shows, multiple pools, and something for every age. If you can, add a night in Genoa before boarding. It's a good city to wander. The autumn timing is underrated too. Good weather, calmer seas, and a more relaxed ship. All told, 12 ports across 24 nights covers a lot.

This cruise does not return to Genoa. It ends in Pointe-à-Pitre, so your flight home leaves from there.
