Ocean Discovery – Seward, Hubbard Glacier & Juneau
About this cruise
This one leaves Seward on September 10, 2027 and spends 7 nights visiting Hubbard Glacier, Juneau, Skagway, Icy Strait Point, Ketchikan and Vancouver at a pace where every day has something going on but there's always time to just sit and watch the water too. You wind up in Vancouver, so it's worth planning a night or two there. There's a stretch of back-to-back port days, so those days are busy, but the sea days around them give you time to recharge. Glaciers calving into the water, bald eagles overhead, and air that smells like pine. It's a different kind of cruise. Most ports give you about 9 hours, so you can do more than just tick off the main sights. As for the ship itself, There are 15 restaurants on Anthem of the Seas, so you'd need to double up a few evenings to try them all in 7 nights. Being shoulder season helps: golden light, comfortable weather, and shorter queues at the popular spots. Hard to ask for much more than that, honestly.
