Ocean Discovery – Whittier, Hubbard Glacier & Glacier Bay
About this cruise
The kind of trip that's easy to say yes to and hard to regret. 7 nights from Whittier on May 15, 2028, visiting Hubbard Glacier, Glacier Bay and Icy Strait Point, with additional stops along the Alaska. You wind up in Vancouver, so it's worth planning a night or two there. Expect a run of consecutive ports, 7 stops total, with the busiest days packed close together. The sea days around them feel earned. Even the open-water days are scenic here, with mountains on either side and blue ice in the distance. Hubbard Glacier stands out. It's North America's largest tidewater glacier. Roughly 8 hours per stop. More of a sampler than a deep dive. Norwegian Jade takes the food seriously, with 13 restaurants to choose from. 5 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. Long enough that you stop checking your phone. Short enough that you're not bored. And May is a good time to go. Mild weather, things starting to bloom, and fewer people than summer. All in all, it's a solid trip.
