Ocean Discovery – Whittier, Hubbard Glacier & Icy Strait Point
About this cruise
No complicated itinerary, no back-to-back transfers, just the ports, the ship, and the sea in between. This 7-night sailing from Whittier on July 10, 2028 visits Hubbard Glacier, Icy Strait Point, Juneau, Skagway, Ketchikan and Vancouver. You finish in Vancouver. A few ports come in quick succession, which is great for sightseeing but means you'll appreciate the sea days when they arrive. You're essentially sailing through a nature documentary. Pack layers. Icy Strait Point alone is worth the trip, Wilderness at the edge of the Inside Passage. Around 9 hours per port on average, which is generous enough to go beyond the obvious. You won't go hungry on Norwegian Jade. 5 restaurants come with the fare, plus 8 more when you feel like treating yourself. The timing works well too: warm evenings on deck, late sunsets, and a lively atmosphere. Worth booking. That's the short version.
