Ocean Discovery – Yokohama, Shimizu & Sasebo
About this cruise
A week or so at sea, a few great ports, and nothing to organise once you're on board. This 8-night sailing from Yokohama on March 23, 2028 visits Shimizu, Sasebo, Jeju Island, Busan and Shanghai. Disembarkation is in Shanghai. Expect a run of consecutive ports, 5 stops total, with the busiest days packed close together. The sea days around them feel earned. 3 countries (Japan, South Korea and China) across the Japan, Korea, China & Taiwan, each with its own character. If one port sticks with you, it'll probably be Shimizu, Mount Fuji's closest port with tea plantation views. Roughly 11 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. You won't go hungry on Spectrum Of The Seas. 6 restaurants come with the fare, plus 7 more when you feel like treating yourself. And March is a good time to go. Mild weather, things starting to bloom, and fewer people than summer. It's the kind of trip you actually remember afterwards.

Getting there: out to Yokohama, home from Shanghai
