Sunlit Wake – Ponta Delgada, Cádiz & Athens
About this cruise
Every port gets the time it deserves and the sea days in between are half the fun. This 25-night sailing leaves Fort Lauderdale on October 6, 2026 and visits Kings Wharf, Ponta Delgada and Cádiz, with additional stops along the Western Mediterranean. You wind up in Piraeus (Athens), so it's worth planning a night or two there. The sea days come first, which means no rushing to get off the ship on day one. You hit the ports relaxed and ready. 6 countries (Bermuda, Portugal, Spain, France, Italy and Greece) across the Western Mediterranean, each with its own character. Kings Wharf stands out. It's Pink sand and pastel perfection. Roughly 11 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. You won't go hungry on Island Princess. 3 restaurants come with the fare, plus 3 more when you feel like treating yourself. The shows alone are worth the extra nights. You'll catch comedy, music, theatre, and themed evenings you'd miss on a shorter trip. And October is a good call. Still warm, less crowded, and usually cheaper too. All in all, it's a solid trip.
