Gilded Atlantic Curio – Puerto Plata & San Juan
About this cruise
A week or so at sea, a few great ports, and nothing to organise once you're on board. This 7-night sailing from Fort Lauderdale on September 26, 2026 visits Puerto Plata (Amber Cove), San Juan and Philipsburg. Ports up front, sea days at the end. By the time you're back in Fort Lauderdale, you'll feel properly rested rather than rushed. The Caribbean route takes in Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico and Netherlands, 3 countries, and the differences show up in the food, the architecture, and the mood. Of the stops, Puerto Plata (Amber Cove) tends to be the one people talk about: Dominican amber and Atlantic waves. Port time is tight at about 8 hours each. Pick your favourites and save the rest for another trip. Regal Princess keeps you well fed. 12 places to eat, with 6 included in the fare and a few specialty spots if you're in the mood. Families and groups will find plenty to do: waterslides, shows, multiple pools, and something for every age. If you can, add a night in Fort Lauderdale before boarding. It's a good city to wander. And September is a good call. Still warm, less crowded, and usually cheaper too. Sometimes the best trips are the ones you just go ahead and book.
