Mediterranean Grandeur – Rome, Athens & Barcelona
About this cruise
14 nights starts to feel like a proper adventure. You leave Civitavecchia (Rome) on September 26, 2026 and the route takes you through Naples, Souda (Chania) and Kusadasi, with additional stops along the Eastern Mediterranean at a pace where there's never any need to rush. You get off in Barcelona, which is a good excuse to tack on a few days on land. A few ports come in quick succession, which is great for sightseeing but means you'll appreciate the sea days when they arrive. The route threads through 5 countries along the Eastern Mediterranean coast: Italy, Greece, Türkiye, Montenegro and Spain. Don't rush through Piraeus (Athens), which is known as The Acropolis beckons from the harbour. Around 11 hours per port on average, which is generous enough to go beyond the obvious. Sun Princess launched in 2024, so everything on board is still new. You can tell. There are enough performances, events, and social mixers on a cruise this length that you couldn't do them all if you tried. And that's a good problem. Civitavecchia (Rome) itself is worth spending some time in. Don't just treat it as a departure point. The autumn timing is underrated too. Good weather, calmer seas, and a more relaxed ship. All told, 9 ports across 14 nights covers a lot.
