Nordic Fjords & Isles – Reykjavik to Southampton
About this cruise
You board in Reykjavik on September 3, 2026 for 10 nights visiting Isafjordur, Akureyri and Ålesund, with additional stops along the British Isles & Western France, and you come back from this kind of trip wondering why you don't do it more often. You get off in Southampton, which is a good excuse to tack on a few days on land. The 3 sea days in between leave time for the pool, the spa, or whatever else you feel like doing between ports. Crossing 3 borders through the British Isles & Western France: Iceland, Norway and United Kingdom. You'll notice the culture shift at every stop. Don't rush through Ålesund, which is known as Art Nouveau architecture on a Norwegian fjord. Around 10 hours per port on average, which is generous enough to go beyond the obvious. Norwegian Star takes the food seriously, with 13 restaurants to choose from. 4 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. There are enough performances, events, and social mixers on a cruise this length that you couldn't do them all if you tried. And that's a good problem. This length suits most people. Enough time to settle in and actually unwind, without the trip dragging on. The autumn timing is underrated too. Good weather, calmer seas, and a more relaxed ship. All told, 7 ports across 10 nights covers a lot.
