Ocean Discovery – Skjolden, Nordfjordeid & Bergen
About this cruise
You won't run out of things to do on a trip this long, but you also won't feel like you have to do any of them. 14 nights from Southampton on July 8, 2028, visiting Skjolden, Nordfjordeid and Bergen, with additional stops along the Northern Europe & Scandinavia. The first couple of days are at sea, which gives you time to settle in and get to know the ship before the ports begin. Crossing 3 borders through the Northern Europe & Scandinavia: Norway, Belgium and Denmark. You'll notice the culture shift at every stop. Most ports give you about 10 hours, so you can do more than just tick off the main sights. As for the ship itself, Sky Princess takes the food seriously, with 8 restaurants to choose from. 4 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. 14 nights is long enough to build a routine on board: favourite restaurant, favourite deck chair, favourite people. It starts to feel like a floating village. If you like having options (restaurants, bars, activities, entertainment), a big ship delivers that. Pro tip: fly in the day before. Southampton has plenty to offer, and you'll board relaxed instead of rushed. It's peak season, so the weather is at its best and the ship will be full. That's part of the fun. You'll probably start planning the next one before this one's even over.
