Ocean Discovery – Sydney, Eden & Burnie
About this cruise
You won't run out of things to do on a trip this long, but you also won't feel like you have to do any of them. 11 nights from Sydney on February 16, 2027, visiting Eden, Burnie and Melbourne, with additional stops along the Australia & New Zealand. You get off in Auckland, which is a good excuse to tack on a few days on land. There's a stretch of back-to-back port days, so those days are busy, but the sea days around them give you time to recharge. The distances are huge, which makes the sea days feel earned, and the ports feel worth it. Most ports give you about 8 hours, so you can do more than just tick off the main sights. As for the ship itself, You won't go hungry on Norwegian Spirit. 6 restaurants come with the fare, plus 7 more when you feel like treating yourself. 11 nights is long enough to build a routine on board: favourite restaurant, favourite deck chair, favourite people. It starts to feel like a floating village. The timing adds to it: swapping cold weather for sunshine and sea air is the whole pitch for a winter cruise. 11 nights of not thinking about anything except where to eat next. That's the pitch.
