Ocean Discovery – Trieste, Split & Kotor
About this cruise
Somewhere around day five the ship stops being transport and starts being home. This 32-night sailing from Trieste on August 24, 2027 visits Split, Kotor and Corfu, with additional stops along the Eastern Mediterranean. You wind up in Civitavecchia (Rome), so it's worth planning a night or two there. There's a stretch of back-to-back port days, so those days are busy, but the sea days around them give you time to recharge. Crossing 7 borders through the Eastern Mediterranean: Croatia, Montenegro, Greece, Cyprus, Türkiye, Italy and Malta. You'll notice the culture shift at every stop. Most ports give you about 11 hours, so you can do more than just tick off the main sights. As for the ship itself, Enchanted Princess takes the food seriously, with 13 restaurants to choose from. 5 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. 32 nights is long enough to build a routine on board: favourite restaurant, favourite deck chair, favourite people. It starts to feel like a floating village. If you like having options (restaurants, bars, activities, entertainment), a big ship delivers that. Pro tip: fly in the day before. Trieste has plenty to offer, and you'll board relaxed instead of rushed. It's peak season, so the weather is at its best and the ship will be full. That's part of the fun. Hard to ask for much more than that, honestly.
