Sun-Drenched Bastions – Rome, Palma & Marseille
About this cruise
A week or so at sea, a few great ports, and nothing to organise once you're on board. This 7-night sailing from Cannes on October 18, 2026 visits Genoa, La Spezia, Civitavecchia (Rome), Palma de Mallorca, Barcelona and Marseille. Disembarkation is in Marseille. Expect a run of consecutive ports, 6 stops total, with the busiest days packed close together. The sea days around them feel earned. Crossing 3 borders through the Western Mediterranean: Italy, Spain and France. You'll notice the culture shift at every stop. If one port sticks with you, it'll probably be La Spezia, Gateway to the pastel villages of Cinque Terre. Roughly 11 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. MSC Grandiosa takes the food seriously, with 6 restaurants to choose from. 1 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. Families and groups will find plenty to do: waterslides, shows, multiple pools, and something for every age. And October is a good call. Still warm, less crowded, and usually cheaper too. It's the kind of trip you actually remember afterwards.
