MSC Grandiosa launched in 2019 as the first Meraviglia-Plus, which essentially means a stretched and upgraded Meraviglia with 16 extra metres and a bunch of new spaces. She was also the first cruise ship to resume European sailings during the pandemic in 2020, running strict safety protocols that became a template for the rest of the industry. The dining program includes a six-chef dinner series, the regionally themed Le Monde restaurant, and a LED sky ceiling that stretches even further than the original Meraviglia's.
