Vellum Scrolls – Naples, Crete & Ephesus
About this cruise
This one leaves Civitavecchia (Rome) on October 17, 2026 and spends 7 nights visiting Naples, Souda (Chania), Kusadasi, Mykonos and Piraeus (Athens) at a pace where every day has something going on but there's always time to just sit and watch the water too. You get off in Piraeus (Athens), which is a good excuse to tack on a few days on land. The pace alternates neatly: port day, sea day, port day, sea day. 5 stops with a breather between each one. The route threads through 3 countries along the Eastern Mediterranean coast: Italy, Greece and Türkiye. Most ports give you about 12 hours, so you can do more than just tick off the main sights. As for the ship itself, Sun Princess joined the Princess Cruises's lineup in 2024. Still has that new-ship feel. Being shoulder season helps: golden light, comfortable weather, and shorter queues at the popular spots. 7 nights of not thinking about anything except where to eat next. That's the pitch.
