Ocean Discovery – Nagasaki, Busan & Kochi

About this cruise

16 nights starts to feel like a proper adventure. You leave Tokyo on April 30, 2028 and the route takes you through Nagasaki, Busan, Kochi, Shimizu, Hiroshima and Kagoshima at a pace where there's never any need to rush. A few ports come in quick succession, which is great for sightseeing but means you'll appreciate the sea days when they arrive. Bullet trains visible from the harbour, cherry blossoms, and thousands of years of history. East Asia is a lot to take in. Kochi alone is worth the trip, Japan's castle town on the Shikoku coast. Around 9 hours per port on average, which is generous enough to go beyond the obvious. Diamond Princess takes the food seriously, with 12 restaurants to choose from. 7 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. There are enough performances, events, and social mixers on a cruise this length that you couldn't do them all if you tried. And that's a good problem. This one's for people who really want to switch off. No half measures. Block out the calendar. Timing-wise, spring usually means comfortable temperatures and lower prices than peak season. Worth booking. That's the short version.

princess.com sets its prices from the country you connect from, so it only quotes the USD fare above to visitors connecting from the United States. From anywhere else you will be shown your own currency instead. Agencies sell across markets, so this fare is often still bookable through one. See who sells it

* If you book through a marked link, the cruise line pays us a small commission. Your price is exactly the same either way, and the commission is what pays for Cruisello.
