Ocean Discovery – Ketchikan, Juneau & Skagway
About this cruise
A 14-night sailing gives you something shorter trips can't: the feeling that you're not just visiting places but actually living somewhere else for a while. This one leaves Vancouver on May 24, 2028 and visits Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay, Whittier and Hubbard Glacier. A few ports come in quick succession, which is great for sightseeing but means you'll appreciate the sea days when they arrive. You're essentially sailing through a nature documentary. Pack layers. Keep an eye out for Hubbard Glacier: North America's largest tidewater glacier. Around 11 hours per port on average, which is generous enough to go beyond the obvious. You won't go hungry on Island Princess. 3 restaurants come with the fare, plus 3 more when you feel like treating yourself. There are enough performances, events, and social mixers on a cruise this length that you couldn't do them all if you tried. And that's a good problem. Timing-wise, spring usually means comfortable temperatures and lower prices than peak season. That's 14 nights well spent.
