Ocean Discovery – Ketchikan, Juneau & Skagway
About this cruise
Every port gets the time it deserves and the sea days in between are half the fun. This 14-night sailing leaves Vancouver on August 16, 2028 and visits Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay, Whittier and Hubbard Glacier. Expect a run of consecutive ports, 6 stops total, with the busiest days packed close together. The sea days around them feel earned. The wildlife alone makes it worth it: whales, bears, eagles, sea otters. Bring binoculars. People come back from this cruise talking about Juneau: A capital only reachable by sea or sky. Roughly 11 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. Island Princess keeps you well fed. 6 places to eat, with 3 included in the fare and a few specialty spots if you're in the mood. With more nights comes more time for the ship's rhythm to kick in: morning coffee in the same spot, evening shows, late-night conversations on deck. If you've done the short cruises and want more, this is the upgrade. Longer, deeper, and more relaxed. If you can, add a night in Vancouver before boarding. It's a good city to wander. And August means long, warm days. Good for the ports, good for the pool. 6 ports, one suitcase. That's the appeal.
