Mediterranean Magic – Barcelona, Rome & Nice
About this cruise
A week or so at sea, a few great ports, and nothing to organise once you're on board. This 7-night sailing from Valencia on May 23, 2026 visits Livorno (Florence/Pisa), Civitavecchia (Rome), Genoa, Marseille and Tarragona. Expect a run of consecutive ports, 5 stops total, with the busiest days packed close together. The sea days around them feel earned. Crossing 3 borders through the Western Mediterranean: Italy, France and Spain. You'll notice the culture shift at every stop. If one port sticks with you, it'll probably be Genoa, Columbus' birthplace, a labyrinth of caruggi. Roughly 10 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. MSC Orchestra takes the food seriously, with 5 restaurants to choose from. 3 are included, and the rest are worth the splurge. Families and groups will find plenty to do: waterslides, shows, multiple pools, and something for every age. And May is a good time to go. Mild weather, things starting to bloom, and fewer people than summer. It's the kind of trip you actually remember afterwards.
