The Port of Miami handles more cruise passengers than any other port in the world. Seven air-conditioned terminals, several decorated with public art, line the waterfront. Downtown Miami is a short taxi ride away, and the Bayside Marketplace is within walking distance. The city sits flat under open sky, so the weather is part of the experience: warm, humid, and reliably sunny. South Beach has the Art Deco Historic District along Ocean Drive, with pastel buildings from the 1930s and 1940s. Little Havana centres on Calle Ocho, where Cuban coffee windows and cigar shops line the street. The Wynwood Walls are covered in large-scale murals and rotate regularly. For food, the mix of Cuban, Haitian, and Latin American cooking is the strongest draw. The Metromover is free and connects downtown stops, while ride-shares and taxis fill in the gaps. Keep in mind that downtown traffic is heavy, especially on port days.
