Ocean Discovery – Grand Turk, Puerto Plata/Amber Cove & Bimini Islands
About this cruise
A week or so at sea, a few great ports, and nothing to organise once you're on board. This 6-night sailing from Miami on October 25, 2026 visits Grand Turk Island, Puerto Plata (Amber Cove) and Bimini. Every port day is followed by a sea day, so you get time to sleep in, use the ship, and look forward to the next stop. The Caribbean route takes in Turks & Caicos Islands, Dominican Republic and Bahamas, 3 countries, and the differences show up in the food, the architecture, and the mood. Bimini alone is worth the trip, Hemingway's island in the stream. Roughly 9 hours ashore per stop. No need to rush. Scarlet Lady keeps you well fed. 13 places to eat, with 12 included in the fare and a few specialty spots if you're in the mood. Long enough that you stop checking your phone. Short enough that you're not bored. If you can, add a night in Miami before boarding. It's a good city to wander. And October is a good call. Still warm, less crowded, and usually cheaper too. Worth booking. That's the short version.
