Ocean Discovery – Juneau, Skagway & Glacier Bay
About this cruise
No complicated itinerary, no back-to-back transfers, just the ports, the ship, and the sea in between. This 7-night sailing from Seattle on May 20, 2028 visits Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay, Ketchikan and Victoria. A few ports come in quick succession, which is great for sightseeing but means you'll appreciate the sea days when they arrive. Glaciers calving into the water, bald eagles overhead, and air that smells like pine. It's a different kind of cruise. Don't rush through Juneau, which is known as A capital only reachable by sea or sky. Around 8 hours per port on average, which is generous enough to go beyond the obvious. There are 11 restaurants on Royal Princess, so you'd need to double up a few evenings to try them all in 7 nights. Seattle itself is worth spending some time in. Don't just treat it as a departure point. Timing-wise, spring usually means comfortable temperatures and lower prices than peak season. All told, 5 ports across 7 nights covers a lot.
